We love our daugther!

I love her nose!!
I seriously think that Lydia is growing overnight. She is just getting so big...learning...talking up a storm....getting very independent....and loving life. It's going so fast. I feel like she will be a teenager before we know it.
Cherish every moment.

Happy 3rd Birthday Lydia!

Lydia going through the tunnel at the park.
Peek-a-boo!
Lydia in her new birthday dress.
She couldn't wait to put it on this morning--knowing that it was a special dress that we bought for her birthday. She picked it out and it was on sale (good girl Lydia!!). We have had a special week. We have had two picnics, went to two different parks, she got to play with some old friends, and we shopped for her birthday presents.
Today, we picked out a small birthday cake, and tonight we will celebrate as a family of 3.
I am going to make a special lasagna dish for her, then we will open presents and eat cake (with vanilla ice cream). She is so excited. We don't eat sweets so this is extra special.
Well, our special China girl, we love you and we hope you have a very special 3rd birthday.
Mommy and Daddy love you very much.

A Perfect Day

When we were having our picnic at the park, Lydia kept on pointing and saying, "Look Mommy, a Cross." I looked and looked and finally...there it was. It was a tree branch in the shape of a Cross. How awesome is that?

Chillin' after our yummy picnic.

Swinging is so much fun!

Lydia was showing me some of her mighty large motor skills. You go Lydia! Great job!

"Wheeeeeeeeee!"

"You can't catch me Mommy!"

Beautiful Redbud at the Nature Center.

We saw some really neat trees on our hike in the woods.

Mommy and Lydia.

"Hike, hike, hike. We're walkin' through the woods. Hike, hike, hike!"

We also saw some beautiful wildflowers at the Nature Center (on our hike).

We saw some cool animals up close at the Bird Blind at the Nature Center.

Oh, yea...

We also saw some really awesome looking birds, like this woodpecker.

Beautiful Bluejays.

I see youuuuu.

What a wonderful day! Lydia and I decided that we were going to take a break from packing and enjoy the beautiful weather. We went to the Louisville Nature Center (and we got to see a wonderful friend from Church), Joe Creason Park and had a lovely picnic. We enjoyed seeing God's beautiful creation! There is nothing else I can say. What an awesome day.
Thank you Lord.

Humongous!

The word for the week!

HUMONGOUS!

Pascha

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!!

Lydia playing at the park. She loves going down the slides!

She is also a big fan of swings.

Daddy and Lydia

"Look Mommy and Daddy! Look!"
What an amazing Holy Week. The services that led up to Pascha was just..just...I am speechless. The icing on the cake was the Pascha service late Saturday night early Sunday morning. Words cannot describe the joy that we feel in our hearts for Christ. I can't wait for next year!
Well, good news. We have sold our home and have put a contract on another home. Very excited. Glory to God in all things. Glory to God.
Lydia's birthday is next week and I can't believe she will be 3 years old. She has been singing Happy Birthday Lydia for the past month. So cute. After we move into our home, potty training will be first on the list. I think she is ready. I think she is excited about it too. We have been talking about it forever, so hopefully it will be quick and easy (as I hold my breath!).
I hope that all my blog friends are well. Take care and enjoy this season of Spring!
Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!!
