Having fun with Lydia

I couldn't resist buying this shirt for Lydia. It says, "I love being Daddy's little girl!" We were having fun this afternoon. Check out that smile!
What's up Lydia?

Lydia and Dadda having fun...Lydia is looking at herself in the mirror on Dadda's shoulders. She was getting a kick out of it!

(I think we are going from Baba to Dadda. She seems to say Dadda more.)

Fiesta Bowl.....blues....

Ohio State vs. Texas
January 5th, 2009

Final Score:
Ohio State Buckeyes 21
Texas Longhorns 24

As you can tell...we are Ohio State Fans. We went into this game thinking we were going to be demolished. However, Ohio State did show up and played an awesome game. I think it was the best Ohio State has played in a bowl game in a long time. I also think they earned some respect back that they had lost throughout the season.

All in all it was a great game.
Maybe next year????????

Happy Birthday Dad!

This post will be from me (Claudine) to my Dad.
This picture was taken in Ohio on April of 1979 of me and my dad. It is one of those pictures that I will always hold dear to my heart. Today is my dad's birthday and I am so grateful for the relationship that we have together.
Happy Birthday Dad! I love you!

Happy New Year!

BaBa reading a book to Lydia before bedtime on New Year's Eve
NiNi bought Lydia a baby Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas. At first, she was pretty scared of it, then later on that day I was teaching her how to feed the "baby"...minutes later....she is doing this!
She loves to feed her baby...

After Momma fed Lydia this morning...Lydia wanted to feed her baby too. She was doing such a good job! She even wanted to burp her! LOVE IT!!!!
Grace and Peace to all!

Merry Christmas from the Super family!

It is Christmas Eve 2008....
God has been so gracious to us.
Not only did He pull us through a 3 1/2 year adoption process and has chosen Lydia to be to a part of our family (and HIS), but most important...He sent His Son, Jesus Christ.
May you take the time this Christmas to reflect on God's most perfect Gift.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

One month home as of today!!

Do you believe that it has been one month since we have been home? Do you believe next week is Christmas??? Do you believe 2009 is quickly upon us? Time does fly when you are having fun! It seems like yesterday that we received Lydia's referral. Do you believe that was 3 months ago??

INSANE!
Today we went to the Social Security Office to apply for Lydia's Social Security Card. Let me just say that it wasn't a pleasant experience. I will leave it at that. All in all, we accomplished what we wanted to do while we were there. :) Unfortunately, that was pretty much all we were able to do while we were out...it was lunch and naptime for Lydia.
I also want to give a shout out to my precious husband. He is such an amazing man. I love him dearly.
Thank you Lord Jesus for placing him in my life.

Cute Pictures of Lydia and our sweet cats!

"What?" "Is this too close?"
Lydia looking at the "Hello Spot" book.

She found Mr. Rabbit!

"Seriously, do you have to carry that camera around all the time?"

"Okay, you can take one more picture."

"....and another..."

"Oh, alright...you can take as many pictures as you want Momma!"

Lydia checking out the "Panda" book.

"Interesting fabric."

We couldn't get her pullover off of her head...we were both cracking up!!!

"Check out my new Christmas dress!" from Grandpa and Grandma (THANKS!!!)

Aren't they so cuddly?

"Please Momma, no more pictures...I keep seeing these white blocks everywhere!"

Baby is waking up early from her nap......gotta run! Hope you enjoy the pictures! By the way, today we received her Certificate of Citizenship in the mail! Wow!!!!! How cool is that?
ps-John and I just want to say thanks to all of you who are supporting and encouraging us (not to mention your outpouring of love) with our decision with Lydia's recent attachment issues. It really means so much to us.
We praise the Lord for such wonderful people. Thanks again.
